SUSTENANCE - Seamlessly looping instrument samples
SUSTENANCE is essentially a "seamlessly looping" sample library (48kHz stereo for Digitakt II, 24kHz mono for LoFi-12 XT). It was primarily created for use with a Digitakt II, but it's also possible to use the samples with the original Digitakt or any other sampler. This includes not only other Elektron devices capable of playing samples, such as the Octatrack, Analog Rytm, and Model:Samples, but also the Roland SP family, MPCs, or even DAWs. The 24kHz mono version is a separate ZIP file, created to be used with Sonicware LoFi-12 XT.
List of instruments:
- Cello
- Viola
- Violin
- Church Organ
- Upright Piano
- Felt Piano
- Brass Ensemble (v1.1 UPDATE)
- Rhodes (v1.2 UPDATE)
The sample pack contains 195 chord samples and 29 C-note samples. Each instrument includes 3 to 4 C-note samples in various octaves and 13 different chords, some typical bread and butter (minors, majors, sevenths etc) and some just musical (fifths, octaves, inversions etc) all root C. You can use them as they are or manipulate them to create a solid base for a "pad" sound.
All samples loop seamlessly, except for the "key" instruments, which (by their nature) sustain naturally.
You can check out this video that uses only samples from this pack, along with a couple of Digitakt II factory samples, to get a glimpse of what's possible:
This showcase can help you see the range and versatility of the sounds available in the SUSTENANCE sample pack.
BONUS: I added a 24kHz 16-bit mono versions of v1.2 to use with Sonicware LoFi-12 XT as a separete ZIP file. So if you have a LoFi-12 XT, you can use the samples in that ZIP file with this unique device as well.
195 chord samples and 29 C-note samples. All "sustained" intrument samples loop seamlessly.
